Tomokazu Saito

Founder & CEO

As an anthropologist, Tomokazu Saito conducted field research in the Middle East, where he observed how people live and interact naturally across borders and cultures.
He began his career as an attorney before pursuing public policy in Berkeley and economics in Tilburg (the Netherlands), where he became interested in startups as a dynamic force driving social change.
Leaving academia, he joined Preferred Networks to promote the commercialization of advanced technologies and later worked at Mercari, where he was responsible for corporate planning and organizational development during its post-IPO growth phase. Through supporting regional companies and startups, he recognized a structural asymmetry: talent, capital, and information tend to flow into a few global centers while others remain disconnected from these flows.
In 2022, he founded Cohh to build infrastructure that reconnects people, capital, and opportunities across regions and borders, enabling cross-border innovation.
